As the Central Government accelerates its push for youth employment, young professionals and first-time job seekers in Sri Vijaya Puram and across the islands stand to benefit immensely. The PM-VBRY scheme provides direct financial incentives and social security to fresh graduates entering the workforce, encouraging local businesses and industries in Andaman to hire fresh talent.

Reaffirming the Government's commitment to empowering India's youth, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed beneficiaries and industry stakeholders, disbursing incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the flagship Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY).

Addressing the gathering shortly after returning from the G-7 Summit, the Prime Minister highlighted that the PM-VBRY is much more than an employment scheme—it is an initiative designed to build a robust bridge between the youth and the industry.

Key Achievements of PM-VBRY

Supporting Both Employees and Employers: Unlike traditional schemes that focus on one side of the job market, Shri Modi observed that PM-VBRY simultaneously supports both. Equal numbers of first-time employees have been brought under the ambit of social security. Close to 20 lakh young people have successfully completed six months in their first jobs, with 10 lakh beneficiaries already receiving their direct financial incentives.

Highlighting India's demographic strength, the Prime Minister observed that India is among the youngest nations in the world. He emphasized the importance of skilled talent, innovation, and quality in determining economic success in the twenty-first century.

Encouraging young people not to be discouraged by setbacks, Shri Modi shared a powerful message: "Every failure carries valuable lessons and contributes to personal growth and future success. The true measure of a youthful mind lies in its ability to continuously learn from challenges, transform dreams into achievements, and create new aspirations after every accomplishment."
