Directorate of Industries Invites Applications for One-Year Conventional Training Programmes in Andaman

The Directorate of Industries, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has invited applications for admission to one-year Conventional Training Programmes for the academic year 2026–27.

According to the official notification, training programmes will be conducted at different training centres under the Industries Department located in Sri Vijaya Puram, Diglipur, Hut Bay, and Car Nicobar.

Courses Offered

• Tailoring & Garment Making
• Cane & Bamboo Handicrafts
• Carpentry
• General Engineering
• Coir Products & General Engineering

At Little Andaman (Hut Bay), training will be available in General Engineering and Carpentry, while Car Nicobar centre will conduct Tailoring & Garment Making, Carpentry, Coir Products, and General Engineering courses.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have passed Class 10
• Age should be between 15–45 years (as on 1st July 2026)
• Must hold Local Certificate of A&N Islands
• Applicants should be physically fit (Govt. Doctor certified)

Monthly Stipend

Eligible trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 1000 subject to 80% attendance during the training period.

Application Dates

Distribution of application forms will begin from 11th May 2026 at the Training Cell, Directorate of Industries and Extension Offices located at Diglipur, Hut Bay, and Car Nicobar.

The last date for submission of applications is 12th June 2026.
