Arts & Culture Department Invites Applications for Grant-in-Aid to Registered Cultural Organizations in Andaman & Nicobar Islands (2026-27)

The Department of Arts & Culture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has invited applications from registered cultural organizations across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for financial assistance under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) Scheme for the financial year 2026-27.

The financial assistance will be provided in accordance with the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Rules for Grant-in-Aid to Local Cultural Organizations, 2018. Eligible organizations can receive financial support of up to ₹25,000 for promoting cultural activities in the Islands.

Eligibility Criteria

Organizations applying for the Grant-in-Aid must meet the following conditions:

Must be a registered cultural organization in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Should be actively engaged in the promotion and preservation of art, culture, cultural integration, and communal harmony.
Must have been functioning in these activities for a minimum period of one year.

Interested organizations should submit their applications in the prescribed format along with all required supporting documents.

Last Date

The last date for submission of completed applications is 18 August 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

The Department has encouraged all eligible cultural organizations to apply within the stipulated time and contribute towards preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
