Science Centre to Host Special Educational Programmes on August 1 & 2 in Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram)

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 31:
The Science Centre at Goodwill Estate, Corbyn's Cove Road, Sri Vijaya Puram, will organize a series of educational and entertainment programmes for the general public on August 1 and 2, 2026, offering visitors an engaging opportunity to explore astronomy, science, and interactive learning.

The special event schedule includes:

The Sky Show will introduce visitors to the fascinating world of astronomy, helping them identify planets, including Venus, along with other prominent celestial bodies. Participants will also receive a sky map of Sri Vijaya Puram to help locate stars and planets in the morning and evening skies. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe celestial objects through a telescope, subject to favourable weather conditions.

The Bubble Show promises an entertaining experience for children and families. Demonstrators will showcase a variety of bubble creations, ranging from tiny bubbles to giant bubbles, including popular themed bubbles and other exciting bubble formations.

The entry fee for both the Sky Show and Bubble Show is ₹10 per person for each programme, while the 3D Show is priced at ₹20 per person.

The Science Centre has invited residents and tourists of all age groups to participate in these educational programmes and enjoy an exciting blend of science, learning, and entertainment over the weekend.
