Tourism Department Invites Participants for 2nd Monsoon Food & Culture Festival 2026

The Department of Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in association with various allied departments, has invited local businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to participate in the 2nd Edition of the Monsoon Food & Culture Festival 2026 (#MonsoonMagic2026). The three-day festival will be held from 17th to 19th July 2026 at the ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, with events beginning daily from 4:00 PM.

The annual festival aims to celebrate the unique spirit of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands by promoting local cuisine, traditional handicrafts, cultural performances and island-made products. It also serves as a platform to encourage tourism, strengthen local entrepreneurship and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Islands.

Following the overwhelming response to the first edition held in June 2026, the Tourism Department has expanded the event and is inviting participation from hoteliers, restaurant and cafรฉ owners, food entrepreneurs, farmers, artisans, home chefs, start-ups, SHGs and other local entrepreneurs. Participants will have the opportunity to set up stalls featuring indigenous cuisine, seafood delicacies, organic and farm-fresh produce, traditional recipes, handmade crafts, eco-friendly products and other locally inspired creations.

In addition to food and handicraft stalls, the festival will feature cultural programmes highlighting the Islands' vibrant traditions through music, dance, folk performances and other entertainment activities, creating an engaging experience for both residents and tourists.

Interested participants can submit their applications for stall allotment to the Operational Section, Directorate of IP&T, by emailing andamantourism@gmail.com on or before 14 July 2026 (11:00 AM). Stall allotments will be finalized on the same day to facilitate event preparations. For further information, participants may contact the Tourism Department during office hours.

The Tourism Department has encouraged everyone to join the celebration and make the Monsoon Food & Culture Festival 2026 a grand showcase of Andaman & Nicobar's culture, cuisine, creativity and community spirit. Source: DT
